Floral Books for Spring

The best part of spring is that summer is right around the corner, but let’s prep for spring with some floral book covers:

Maame

The book focuses on a young woman, Maddie, who cares for her ill father. When her mother returns from Ghana, she finally moves out on her own. The book explores the search for identity and grief.

The Last Garden in England

The book follows multiple people through history and their connections to a beautiful garden in England. We get to read about Venetia in 1907 who is hired to design the garden, then we get to jump to WW2 where Beth becomes a land girl for the farm beside the estate, Stella is a cook hoping and dreaming for bigger things, and Diana, the mistress of the estate, is grieving her husband’s death. And then in the present Emma is working on restoring the garden to its former glory.

Everything, Everything

The story revolves around Madeline, a young 18 year old who is basically allergic to the world. I thought this was an interesting aspect to the book, so I was excited to jump in! Madeline was content with her life at home. She took online classes, read a lot, and was really close with her mom and her nurse. She didn’t realize anything was missing until a boy moves in next door and she falls for him. She realizes that there is more to life than living in her bubble.

The Dating Plan

Daisy and Liam, childhood friends turned enemies, decide to pretend to be engaged in order to get her aunties off her back and to save Liam’s family’s distillery.

It Ends With Us

Lily moves to Boston where she opens up a flower shop and navigates a new relationship with Ryle, a neurosurgeon. As she explores this new relationship with Ryle, she can’t help but think about her teenage romance with Atlas.

Felix Ever After

Felix is a young trans man who attends an art school and is taking summer school courses with his friends. The book follows Felix as he questions his gender identity and looks for love.

Possession

This book is about two scholars who are trying to uncover the mystery behind two 19th-century poets, and they use their poetry to try to unearth different things! What a fun concept!

It Starts With Us

If you loved It Ends With Us and want to know how the story continued, I recommend you pick this one up. We get to see Lily navigate life after Ryle as a single mom and business owner and how she is able to build a life with Atlas.

Nice list! 🙂 I’ve read both ‘Everything, Everything’ and ‘Felix Ever After,’ which both have gorgeous covers. I’d never heard of ‘The Last Garden in England’ but I think it has a really cool premise.
