Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control in this heartfelt novel from the “New York Times “bestselling author of The Summer I Turned Pretty series.
What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them…all at once?
Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved–five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.
Review:
This book was adorable. I loved the characters, the plotline, and the overall cheery flow of the book. We start out by learning about the Song girls. Margot is the oldest, and the one who takes care of the family since the death of their mother. But Margot is going to school in Scotland, leaving the protagonist, Lara Jean, all by herself to take care of her little sister, Kitty, and her dad.
Lara Jean is a fun character. She loves her family more than anything, she loves daydreaming, and she is afraid of the real deal when it comes to love. That is where she is pretty relatable. She wants to be in love, but when she gets the opportunity, she is scared of what might happen. She develops well throughout the book, and learns a lot about what she wants and what she doesn’t want.
This was a light, fast-paced read and I am excited to read the next book in the series. I definitely recommend this book for people who like to read light, fun reads with a hint of romance and self-discovery.
Happy reading bookworms.

I really enjoyed this book too – especially the relationships between family members. So realistic. I can’t wait for the latest novel to get released in this collection. I’m all ready in my comfy sweats, coffee in hand on the couch. Just waiting…
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I always get a buzz reading how other people relate to the same books that I do. Look forward to your next review. 🙂

I loved the relationship between the sisters and how close they were with their dad. It reminded me a lot of my relationship with my sisters!
