Review:

Thank you to @grandcentralpub for sending me a copy of this book!

This book sounded really interesting! When Kat runs in to her childhood friend after not seeing her for a while, they catch up and Lisa agrees to be a surrogate for Kat and her husband. But then things aren’t what they seem, and we slowly learn how Kat and Lisa became estranged.

The premise of the book is really interesting, but it didn’t keep me engaged as I was hoping it would. The plot moved slow for a thriller, and I found the writing a bit choppy and hard to follow. This is just a personal opinion, and when I find the writing hard to follow I don’t find myself as engaged as I would like!

Kat was also kinda annoying for me, and I feel like it was because we didn’t really know what she experienced until the end! I think if I knew more about her past I would have felt more for this character, but this was part of the suspense so I’m not sure how that would have changed? –

If this sounds like a book you would like though, I would highly recommend you check it out for yourself! Because the writing may work out for you!

Happy reading!
