Book Review: January 2019 Audiobooks

Hello everyone,

For the audiobooks that I read this month, I decided to do one post instead of three separate ones!! I have recently found a love for audiobooks, and I could not recommend them enough!

Here are my thoughts on the audiobooks I read for January

Becoming by Michelle Obama. This book was just amazing! I loved listening to Michelle herself talk about her childhood, her struggles and dreams, her experiences in college and how she met Barrack! There are so many great little stories in this book, and the way she talks about privilege was very eye opening and educational. I love how she genuinely wants to make the world a better place. She is a great role model for all women!

Whiskey in a Teacup by Reese Witherspoon was a cute short book. She talks about growing up in the south and different family traditions. I liked the look into the life of someone I have admired for a long time, and I liked her message of strong womanhood throughout the book. Reese is that woman who is strong and hilarious, and you definitely want to be kinda like her.

This Will Only Hurt A Little by Busy Phillips was a raw and emotional memoir. I didn’t know a lot about Busy before listening to this book, and I’m really glad I did. She discusses many important topics, such as sexual assault and violence, not feeling like you’re good enough, and the constant panic you feel with anxiety! Really glad I listened to this!
