Synopsis (Goodreads):

The Fellowship was scattered. Some were bracing hopelessly for war against the ancient evil of Sauron. Some were contending with the treachery of the wizard Saruman. Only Frodo and Sam were left to take the accursed Ring of Power to be destroyed in Mordor–the dark Kingdom where Sauron was supreme. Their guide was Gollum, deceitful and lust-filled, slave to the corruption of the Ring. Thus continues the magnificent, bestselling tale of adventure begun in The Fellowship of the Ring, which reaches its soul-stirring climax in The Return of the King.

Review:

Second book in the series, so it’s going to be a short review because I suck at writing reviews for second books in a series, but I’ll do my best!

I liked how this book was broken up into the different adventures- Frodo and Sam and the rest of the fellowship. I found it easy to keep immersed in the story with it broken up with way! Sauroman was also a really interesting character and I was excited to see his part!

For a second book, I thought this was very well written and was a great sequel to keep you hooked and wanting to read the last book!! Lots of action packed into this book!

Happy reading!
