Review:
This is my first book by Ruth Ware and I was really excited for it as I’ve heard great things about this author both on Instagram and Goodreads. And this book was definitely interesting!
Nora gets invited to Clare’s Hen weekend. The strange part is that she hasn’t seen Clare in ten years. She accepts because her curiosity gets the best of her, and I was definitely not prepared for the events that happened.
While some parts seemed a bit predictable, a few parts really blew my mind and kept me on the edge of my seat. I was engrossed in this book and struggled to put it down, so that in itself makes me consider it a good book!
Also, in the UK, are bachelorette parties called Hen’s? I did not know that! In Canada we call them Stagette’s. The grooms party is called the Stag, so what is the grooms party called in the UK? I’m so interested by this.
Also, there is alcohol and drug use in this book, so I just wanted to add that trigger warning. Definite mature content.
Overall, interesting book!
Happy reading!
