Review:

Ok I loved this book. Which isn’t surprising as the last two books I’ve read by this author have been superb, but this one was so great! It was a beautiful story about love and heartbreak, about doing what is right in society and then choosing what is best for you. It’s about loss and family struggles, as well as about struggling to find where your path leads in life. There are so many beautiful things wrapped up in this novel. I think I’m babbling here so I’ll get to it!

Maggie and Tom have a complicated brother and sister relationship. Maggie yearns for Tom to love her, yet Tom is constantly finding faults with Maggie and pushes her away. This causes Maggie to get in trouble because she is looking for attention. Throughout the novel Maggie is looking for love and she longs to earn Toms most of all. Seeing Maggie struggling like that really made me feel for her and want to reach out and hug her! Tom sucks and everyone else just did not understand poor Maggie! If you are looking for a good classic then I definitely recommend this! Some of the descriptions were lengthy and a but unnecessary but if you can get past that part, it was fantastic!!

Happy reading!
