Review:

I’ve heard to many great things about this book, both here on bookstagram and on Goodreads, so I was really excited to dive in! And it was great! The book was really engaging and I enjoyed every bit of it.

The story focuses on Liesl and the Goblin King. Both are really interesting characters in their own right, and then taken together creates a whole new level of awesomeness.

Liesl loves her family and is willing to do absolutely everything to protect them. So when she finds out that her sister has been taken by the goblin king, she must go underground to find and save her. Liesl’s love of her family and willingness to sacrifice everything for her is so cute. This book explores so many different topics, including looking at your relationship with your family and how you’re perceived by your family members, as well as who you are what is important to you. Through the Goblin King we learn that there are certain sacrifices that are not easily undone, and that love is certainly not a simple matter. I really enjoyed reading about the development of these characters and if you like books with a certain fairy tale charm, then I definitely recommend this book to you!

Happy reading!
