Review:

Ok so I’ve seen a few reviews of this book saying that this book didn’t meat expectation/wasn’t as exciting as the previous books. And while I agree to a certain extent, I think one thing that is clear about this book is it seems more like an in between hook between the first three books and the next series! We get to become immersed in the characters we love, check in on them and see how they are doing after the war with Hybern, and then start looking at where the story can go. I still love the characters and I really enjoyed seeing how they prepared to celebrate the winter solstice! I can see how some were disappointed, but honestly I still loved this book as it is part of a story and part of a series I love. So if you’re hesitant to read this because you are worried you won’t love it, I think it’s still worth a read. Just know you probably won’t love it as much as a Court of Mist and Fury!

Happy reading!
