The hotly anticipated third book in the bestselling Bone Season series – a ground-breaking, dystopian fantasy of extraordinary imagination

Following a bloody battle against foes on every side, Paige Mahoney has risen to the dangerous position of Underqueen, ruling over London’s criminal population.

But, having turned her back on Jaxon Hall and with vengeful enemies still at large, the task of stabilising the fractured underworld has never seemed so challenging.

Little does Paige know that her reign may be cut short by the introduction of Senshield, a deadly technology that spells doom for the clairvoyant community and the world as they know it…

Review:

Alright I swear this series just keeps getting better and better! I really enjoyed this book and cannot believe I have to wait for the next one! I want it now!

Paige has a new role in this book and she has to learn how to adapt to it. She has never been in a role where she has power before, and she is learning that it is not easy to make decisions when it comes to people’s safety. Scion has issued their scanners and Paige needs to learn how to destroy them so she can protect the voyants.

One thing I really liked about this book was that it took you to other places other than London, so you got to see what life was like for voyants in other places. Paige and her group travel to Manchester and Edinburgh, which was really exciting. Of course they got into all kinds of trouble, but Paige learns how to protect others, as well as hone her gift.

Paige and Warden’s relationship is super complicated and I really like how Shannon wrote them. You can feel the struggle between the two and I think Shannon did a great job of setting up this struggle. Warden was her keeper. But he is so much more than that and seems to really care about Paige and about the revolution. But Paige is unsure if she should fully trust him, even though she wants to. I think this adds a level of complicated to the story, instead of having a typical love relationship.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this series!

Happy reading!
