It is a story based upon true events using historical records, facts and hypothesis, and including characters both real and imaginary. The trilogy follows one small family of ancient and royal bloodline who believe they have a fundamental right to freedom in their own country. They will not be called Roman, not at any cost, and are determined to fight against the might of an empire.

Britannica may be a million miles from the truth, it is merely a story of what might have been and what could have happened.

Alright, so this is a fun historical fiction novel that focuses on the time after Julius Caesar’s invasion of Britannica, and before Claudius’ invasion. The tribes of the island are at war with each other, and they need to build alliances to safeguard themselves against the Romans. Except some tribes welcome the Romans and their technology.

There is so much history packed into this book that it’s quite exciting. You get to read about the Druid’s and their ceremonies, about tribal warfare, marriages, as well as one of the characters is the famous Boudica! If you are at all interested in this time period of history, then this is definitely a book I recommend you check out.

Warning: this book contains mature content in the form of violence, sexual content, and mature language, so if those are things that you do not want in your books, then maybe it’s best to stay away from this one, as there is quite an abundance of the above.
