Review:

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book as this was definitely a cover buy. It was pink and had pearls and bows and I thought to myself “wow this is so pretty, I have to buy it!”

So I’m happy to report that I definitely enjoyed this book. While the writing is for young adults, with focus more on the young part rather than the adult part, it still was a fun read for me. The characters talk like they are in high school, and while I felt it was exaggerated sometimes, it did help set the tone for who the characters were.

Harper Price is a typical teenager who strives for excellence. She is the SGA president, head of a few other clubs, a cheerleader, as well as taking academically rigorous courses. And she really wants to be prom queen. But on the night of the prom, everything changes and Harper becomes wrapped up with a world of magic that she didn’t even know was real! And while it takes a while for Harper to accept her situation, she learns a lot about herself in the process and what she wants in life and in love.

So yeah, if you are looking for a quick, fun young adult fantasy read, then I would definitely recommend this book.

Happy reading!
