Review:

Ok I’m officially hooked to this story! I’m so captivated with the storyline and the characters, and just when you think things might get boring, they get so much better! I was truly shocked in some scenes of this book, and one instance near the end almost broke my heart.

Celaena is traveling on a mission for the king, but what he doesn’t know is that she is actually plotting his downfall. Not for herself, but for an oath she swore to her friend.

I love some of the new characters that were introduced! And Rowan is hunky. I still love Chaol, but now I’m not sure who I want her to end up with! Rowan is different than Chaol in many ways. You see him as not caring, but deep down, he has a compassionate heart.

We also learn a bit more of Celaena’s back story, which ties a few pieces together nicely! I’m very excited to continue on with the series. I ordered the next two books today! I would definitely recommend this book, and this series. I don’t want to say any more in an effort to avoid spoiling things!

Happy reading bookworms!
