Review:

Here is the last book of HG Wells in my classic collection and boy has it been a journey! A few things I have learned:

1) I’m not a huge science fiction fan

2) space adventure bores me

3) who knew science could be so complicated?

4) even if you don’t get thrilled by the genre, you can still appreciate beautiful writing and the brilliance of a writer’s imagination!

I feel like that sums up my experience with HG Wells!

The Invisible Man was a cool tale of a man who was literally that: invisible! But he learned that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be, and that people are genuinely afraid of what they can’t see and what they don’t understand. That can be compared to many scientific theories even today! I love the brilliance in Wells writing in that he can take a scary topic, a what if scenario, and completely create it using scientific theory! While I wouldn’t say these stories are my favourite, I would argue that I still enjoyed his worlds that he created!
Happy reading bookworms!
