Review:
I finished this book over the weekend and while it was a well written read, I just couldn’t get into the story! I couldn’t connect with the characters, and I found the plot to be a bit of a roller coaster. The beginning took a while to get going, then I was hooked when they got to the moon, and then nothing happened, and then crazy things happened, and then it continued to flip flop!
I did love the imagination mixed with science that it took to explain how they got to the moon! Wells did a great job of explaining the science behind how they could maneuver around space, and how they could land their ship on the Moon. That is one aspect I’m really enjoying about Wells works! It was also interesting to read Well’s perception on what life would be like on the moon, and how he perceived humans would react to being on the moon. But this story I found hard to connect with!
Only one book left in my classic collection of HG Wells!
Happy reading bookworms!
