August TBR

Hello everyone and happy August 1st! Here are the books that I am hoping to read this month, along with a few others, but I thought posting them might be too ambitious. However, this is my last month of summer holidays before I go back to the chaotic realm of teaching, so it would be nice if I could make a sizeable dent in my TBR shelves (that is right, I have two full shelves dedicated to TBR! Yikes!). I also am going to finish the Lunar Chronicles, but I have yet to purchase Fairest and Winter (and maybe Stars Above, but I am thinking of saving that book for a later date).

Moving on, the biggest read I have for this month is Les Miserable, which is over 1200 pages!!! I love challenging and large books, and I really enjoyed the musical movie that came out with Hugh Jackman, so I am really looking forward to reading this book!

Another anticipated read is the Mortal Instruments series. I had two major series that I wanted to read this summer, and with the Lunar Chronicles almost finished, I can jump into the MI! I am very excited to jump into the world that Cassandra Clare has created, as so many fellow bookstagrammers cannot stop raving about her brilliance.

Other books that I am excited for include Queen of the Tearling and King Solomon’s Mines, because I had to throw a classic in there. I have also included Tales from the Arabian Nights because I have been slowly reading it for two months now and have barely read 10%! This is the time to get reading. And finally, I included a non-fiction book, titled The Private Lives of Roman Emperors, but that is the last book on the list and if I do not get to it, I will not be too upset.

Alright, that is all for my August TBR. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave a reply or send me an email! Happy reading!
